a little bit of luck…

April 18, 2015 , , , , ,

When I was little, my God-Mum told me that catching gold leaves before they hit the ground was good luck. So I’ve spent my life looking like a loony trying to catch them without smacking into anything.

Catching gold leaves is like catching great opportunities; it’s not completely easy or totally impossible, but they’re not going to fall in your lap. You need to run forward with your arms outstretched, have your wits about you + a little luck on your side.

Having said that, this one smacked into me while I was sitting in the middle of the Botanic Gardens doing nothing…stuffing my face with scrumptious creme brûlée tart with my friend, Beth, to be exact.

I’d say that’s a “lucky break”!
