my inspiration

I love the craft of teaching + learning, the magic that happens when a student feels safe + valued enough to go beyond their comfort zone and change the momentum of their learning and, in the process, their identity. I am continually humbled + inspired by the ideas + daring leaps of faith from other teachers, the unexpected moments of connection drawn from explorations off the intended path of learning, understandings created in sadness, adversity or pure joy, and the moments of perception that only students can put into words. In being a teacher with the goal of affecting positive change, I have had the momentum of my life changed forever in the most surprising, hilarious, and unexpected ways.

I look forward to sharing my adventures with you, and invite you to share your own with me!
